How do you dry your toddlers hair after a bath??? My son always cries when we dry his hair.?

We just keep our son's hair really short and it air dries really quickly. I don't even towel it off much - I just put a hooded towel on him after his bath, and he runs around naked with that flapping behind him like a cape. :) It's too funny. By the time I catch him again, his hair is mostly dry. I comb it quick and let him go.

I didn't.

I would towel it and then brush it down.

Then, I would let it air dry.

I just towel dry it..our son has a lot of hair but we keep it cut pretty short so one or 2 quick rubs and it's dry. When we gel his hair he doesn't like the hairdryer so much either.

We generally just towel dry there hair and then brush it within a half hour it is dry. Never have used a hair dryer on there hair.

I just sort of rub the towel over her head a bit. I make a game out of it, I always say "hey, where did you go?" as I cover her head with the towel. Then I use a de-tangler comb it out.

Oh, did you mean use a hairdryer? I don't use one on her, she is afraid of the sound of it. Plus her hair dries really fast anyways, so why use a hairdryer?

just give a nice gentle towel dry..let his hair air dry on his own..it won't won't hurt him to have damp hair in the house. :-)

toodlers are often afraid of the sound and the mass of hot air blowing at them from the hair dryer..he is scared..that is why he cries.

My daughter hates it when I try and towel dry her hair. We usually just comb through it and let it air dry.

Find something for him to hold, and play with it during the time you dry his hair, that way he will focus on playing, and not crying anymore, hope this help :)

I always just dried him off with a towel and combed his hair and let it dry the rest of the way by itself.

I make a peek a boo game out of it. Cover his head and gently dry while saying "Where's %26lt;name%26gt;?"

Try to distract him. Make it a game of peek a boo with the towel as you dry. My son hates having his face washed so I tell him "I'm gonna get your nose!" and he thinks it's a game even though I'm really just wiping his face.

Why not try blow drying it on a low setting? I used to babysit a little boy who cried when anyone dried his hair so one day we took out the blowdryer (his teenage sister used it and he liked watching her do it) and tried it...he LOVED it and even wanted to try to do it himself (he was 2). Maybe its a sense of control...let him try to towel dry his own hair before you try the hair dryer.

Worst comes to worst, get a buzz cut. Little boys look really cute with them! :)

Turn it into a game of peek-a-boo. Works for my son.

maybe it wouldn't it be so bad to let it air dry. maybe the kid's head is really sensitive or maybe he just doesn't like it. or let him try to dry it himself. if you let a kid think they have the power they'll do a lot more for you. and if he doesn't get it all dry then that's fine too. what's it really going to hurt? it's just water. and if he goes to bed right after his bath just put a towel across his pillow. that's what my mom did when i was a kid.

stop torturing the kid and let his hair air dry, duh!

And a smack on the face is not nearly as bad as divorcing a child's father. You're the one that is a worthless mother, you are willing to break up your family over arguing a lot - that's part of marriage! If a child gets smacked in the face it's wrong but which one you think they are going to have more difficulty dealing with a broken home or a bunch of smacks in the face in his lifetime. So you're not perfect lady, you are the one that are running away from your problems not me. Now THAT'S a bad mother, not me. Maybe that's why you two argue so much, because you are a mean verbally abusive person and you try to say HE's the one that is emotionally abusive. Haha, you got it wrong!
