Do I curl my hair wet or dry and why?

I have dead straight hair

it's wet right now so hurry up and answer with a valid reason

I wish to curl it soon

Do I curl my hair wet or dry and why?

I let my hair get almost dry then I set it. The curls are much tighter and last longer when it's a little damp. If you like loose curls set it dry.

Do I curl my hair wet or dry and why?

curl it with a curling iron when it's dry.

Do I curl my hair wet or dry and why?

Let it dry and then curl it.

Do I curl my hair wet or dry and why?

Dry!

If you curl it wet, you'll do HUGE damage to your hair, plus it wont last long at all.

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops by FX Special Effects. Its an awesome silk serum that tames the frizz and leaves your hair soft, silky and shiny! You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and soft?

We don't.

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and soft?

Conditioner.

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and soft?

Ok,for the dryer type of hair, make sure you...

-Drink lots of water,it helps keep hair hydrated and is good for you

-Only shampoo every 2-3 days.If you shampoo every day you are "over-shampooing"your hair stripping it of natural oils which include, keeping hydrated, and soft

-Be sure you never brush your hair when its wet. Always comb it.It'll break and damage hair. Also,If you comb instead of brush,it'll be less frizzy.

-Try somehting like John Frieda's brilliant brunette shampoo for moisturizing.Very good shampoo, you can also get it for blonds and redheads!

-When you give your hair a final rinse, use cold water.(as cold as you can stand)It will close the "shafts"in your hair helping it too keep softer and less frizzy.(usually)

I hope I helped you out!

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and soft?

go to your local 'feed store" or Pet shop and pick up "mane and tail", yes it's made for horses but it works GREAT, been using it since I was about 17. Always keeps my hair strong.

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and soft?

its all about the shampoo you use.

i would recommend Pantein.

I'm a guy growing his hair out, my hair feels dry and frizzy, how do girls keep their shiny and soft?

use asdas ALBERTO BALSAM conditioner strawberry flavour it works wonders

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

I don't know what to do! What conditioning products can I use? I don't want to cut it off because I'm, growing my hair.

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

you can use tres semme, i like it alot and it is not expensive at all. you put some all throughout your hair then dont rinse but put a plastic grocery bag over your hair and blow dry it for at least 5 min. then just leave it there for another 20. rinse out and you will find the smoothest shiniest hair you have ever had! but if you have split ends, you have to cut them. they will damage the rest of your hair as they split upwards.

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

Just go for a little trim. If you have split ends, there is no conditioner than will help. Just tell the hair dresser to cut off the dead ends with taking as little length as possible.

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

Well sence you are growing your hair you can cut it off because if you cut off a little your hair will grow much faster...and NO MORE DRY ENDS!

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

its better to cut it off little by little, you should cut your tips every 3 months . trust me they grow faster!!!!

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

before you straighten your hair, put a quarter sized amount of Smooth And Shine Instant Repair Hair Polisher all over your hair, and brush it with a half ceramic half boar hair brush, and THEN straighten it. but try not to keep the straightner on your tips too long :-)

The ends of my hair are very dry.?

Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Teen male looking for a shampoo, I have thick hair that gets dry, frizzy, poofy, & unmanagable?

I am a 17 year old male and I have no idea what to look for in the shampoo isle. There are so many kinds and you see all of these shampoos for extra body and volume...well I don't need anymore of that. I'm looking for one that will actually make it less dry, prevent it from becoming frizzy, poofy and unmanagable. If you know of any good shampoos and/or conditioners that you can recommend that would be so helpful since I have no idea where to start. Thanks

Teen male looking for a shampoo, I have thick hair that gets dry, frizzy, poofy, %26amp; unmanagable?

Ok, the person who said do an oil treatment doesn't realize that oil treatments are really for people who have damaged hair, like heat damage. They are also expensive if you want it done correctly so I wouldn't try it. I had majorly fried hair from when i used to straighten my hair everyday. The shampoo%26amp;conditioner i used which is explained below made my hair look fantastic! You should try it.

Since your a guy you don't have to get a shampoo and then a conditioner so that will help majorly.

You may think it's a girl brand but it totally works.

Herbal Essences. Try hello hydration, 2 in 1 Shampoo%26amp;Conditioner.

It only costs lik $2.87, it will hydrate your hair, making it soft and shiny. As for the frizz, it'll help that as well. For it being poofy, maybe your hair is to long, or its just realy curly.

But try it, it really works, and it doesn't cost much. It's in a blue bottle. %26amp; the good thing about Herbal Essances is that it has different types of shampoo and conditioners... so if Hello Hydration doesn't work for the frizz try, Break's Over, it help with breakage and frizz, it's the Purple bottle... or you could try the pink bottle which is called Dangerously Strait... but i think Hello Hydration is the best for you.

thankz - :) i was glad to help! if you have any trouble with anything else email me at mgnsmoak9748@yahoo.com. Report It

any garnier frutis

Teen male looking for a shampoo, I have thick hair that gets dry, frizzy, poofy, %26amp; unmanagable?

Look for one like Tresemme. It's a good quality product. Look for a shampoo that says it's formulated for dryand/or damaged hair. Then look for the same in a conditioner.

Garne Fructis doesn't moiturize enough. It actually seemed to strip my hair of its nature oils, so I wouldn't recommend that one.

Teen male looking for a shampoo, I have thick hair that gets dry, frizzy, poofy, %26amp; unmanagable?

I would definitely recommend Sunsilk Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner. Or you could also try Garnier Fructis.

But those are heavily scented, and those scents work best for girls.

You, as a guy, should try Pantene (it has a neutral, clean, fresh smell). Or you could also try Aussie products. You could get it from the drugstore. Aussie shampoos and conditioners have no scent.

I really hope this helped!

Teen male looking for a shampoo, I have thick hair that gets dry, frizzy, poofy, %26amp; unmanagable?

You will get all sorts of answers here, and all of those products are expensive. You might want to try a hot oil treatment first, then look for a shampoo/ conditioner especially labeled for dry%26amp; frizzy hair.

Teen male looking for a shampoo, I have thick hair that gets dry, frizzy, poofy, %26amp; unmanagable?

hm..i think you would like pantene shampoo. its not realy a "guy" shampoo but i think you would like it. simply browse though the different shampoos at this link, and then go to the store and look for that one. good luck! :)

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

I have medium to long hair, it's natural curly but if I brush it out it's soft waves. I've been trying something new and braiding it. I've known how to braid my own hair since I was 10 yrs. old but can't remember what's better...

wet or dry?

thanks.

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

when it's damp or dry.

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

dry

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

I think dry is easier. It's hard to get it smooth when it's wet - unless you use a brush at the same time.

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

Well huni it dependz what type of hair you have!!! but i alwayz find it easier to french braid WET!!!!! xox

Is hair easier to French Braid while wet or dry?

matters if you want tight or loose.. i find its easier to do wet.. well damp at least.. you can pull the shorter hairs and tuck them better.. dry hair can look smoother though.. but the tighter you can get it.. the longer it stays looking nice

As a lifeguard working 40 hours a week, I can verify that it doesn't matter what conditioner you use, just as long as you use a lot of it. I use Suave, you know, the one dollar bottle one, and I have perfectly healthy hair.

Im always in the chlorine and my hair is really dry what shampoos and conditioners can i use?

Can you use weekly hair masks every day if your hairs really dry or does it have to be weekly?

It depends on what the directions say. For example. Matrix color protecting conditioning hair mask is supposed to be used every few days. It depends on the condition of your hair. If it really neads to be conditioned than I would use it more often. But after your hair gets better you should use it less. Good luck. Hope that helps. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

Can you use weekly hair masks every day if your hairs really dry or does it have to be weekly?

If your hair is dry, the best way to get the oils back in is to not wash it for a week or so. Once a week hot oil treatment. Not sure on the hair masks, unless you're making your own.

Can you use weekly hair masks every day if your hairs really dry or does it have to be weekly?

Depends on what type of hair mask, but most have protien (which is what your hair is mostly) so if it is protien doing it daily will cause major breakage from the over dose of protien. Just try some deep condtioning...

Can you use weekly hair masks every day if your hairs really dry or does it have to be weekly?

There are several very good things that work:

mayonnaise on your hair, scrambled egg (raw) on your hair for a few minutes and/or conditioner with a hot towel wrapped around your head for a few minutes.

They all work well. Jay

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

The hair is very rough. Can u suggest some home remedies?

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

Pure coconut oil massage is the best thing to do to her hair...

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

try some really good conditioner...and also some detangling spray as u can leave that in!!

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

Well I want to say use some biolage smoothing milk leave in, but she's only 3 sooo. When I was younger (well not THAT young, like 5 years ago), I read about a home remedy for dry hair about putting olive oil in your hair and leaving it sit for 30 mins then shampooing it till it is all out. That would be less harmful then giving her a product intended for adults. That or I am sure if you go down the shampoo aisle in the store they will have a kids shampoo for frizzy and/or dry hair.

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

I had the same problem--though, mine was gorgeous (not saying yours isn't). Don't do what I did, I got it chopped all of. I think that's why it wasn't so curly...

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

mine was like that when i was a kid..... still stayed the same till now! :P

*Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair.

*For the moisture-dry hair, a moisturizer application is required.

Home remedy for dry hair: The Gentle Cleanser

1. Beat an egg in a cup of skimmed milk. When the foam becomes consistent, rub it into the scalp. Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water. Carry out this routine twice a week.

2. Take a cup of coconut milk and add two tablespoons of gram flour or one teaspoon of shikakai. Apply on your scalp and hair and massage gently. Rinse it out after five minutes. Follow this recipe at least once a week.

Another dry hair home remedy: The Protein Conditioner Beat one tablespoon of castor oil, one tablespoon of glycerin, a teaspoon of cider vinegar and a teaspoon of protein, plus a tablespoon of mild herbal shampoo. Apply it on scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with clear water.

A Special Massage Oil/Toner

Get a bottle of castor oil or coconut oil. Add a teaspoon of lavender essential oil in it. Heat a little and massage it gently in your scalp at night. Rinse or shampoo it out in the morning. Follow this routine at least twice a week.

Other tips on home based treatment of dry hair

1. First assess whether your scalp and hair are moisture dry or oil-dry.

2. Condition your hair as often as you wash it.

3. Never comb, brush or massage vigorously if the hair is extremely dry.

Before any kind of routine care is followed, be familiar with the needs of your scalp and hair.

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

U need not worry. My grand sons hair was also same type. After hair cutting new hair came up.Now we r happy

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

use warm coconut oil twice weekly .. use a mild soap

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

I would say castor oil, coconut or olive oil are all good. You might have heard of hairfood, it's also some sort of green ointment, it helps the hair alot. We used it on my sister when she was very young cuz not only did she have curlz but her hair was growing towards the sky :P, now she has one almost up to her waist.

Also try maine and tail shampoo and conditioner. You can use the conditioner 2 ways; rinse out or leave in to style.

Don't worry about curlz cuz they're very pretty on little girls, but worry if her scalp is too dry and there are very simple ways to get it to have a bit of moisture.

Don't wash her hair everyday to give her natural scalp oil to come out.

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

there are shampoos for dry hair

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

don't do experiments on her hairs

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

you cant change the texture of hair but care can make them manageable.don't leave her hair dry.

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

try coconut oil (even scented variety)..

My daughter is 3 years old. Her hair is very dry and very curly.?

Relax or perm it????

Use conditioner. Dont wash it too often. I hate grease and oil. I use motions daily moisturizing complex, its a cream that softens my hair without weighing it down, and i can touch my hair without having the after effects of a greasy hand. Also get a spray bottle fill it with water and put some leave in conditioner in it. Shake it up and spray it into the hair whenever needed. That works for me.

Hope this helps.

I dont know much about hot oil treatments, besides the fact that i would like to try it. But those sound pretty good, so maybe u could give that a try.

Just be happy ur daughter doesn't have african american hair, i tell u that is the worst. I am black so i would know. Not only is it the roughest, but also the weakest. Which makes it extremely difficult to take care of. Not that i don't like to see it, don't get me wrong. Its just hell to take care of. Too much extra effort has to be put in.

African-American hair question: Is it okay to go swimming, shampoo & dry, then chemically relax

I need a relaxer. Bad. My hair is thick with new-growth and curling around the edges and frizzed at the ends (although not split because I just had them cut a couple of weeks ago). But my neighborhood pool just opened up and I really want to go swimming. Is it okay if I swim one day, of course shampoo and conditioning it afterwards (and using a blower to dry), and then put a chemical relaxer in my hair the next day? If not how long should I wait in between? Thanks in advance ladies!

African-American hair question: Is it okay to go swimming, shampoo %26amp; dry, then chemically relax the next day?

no, u are suppose to wait at least week after u wash ur hair to get a perm.

African-American hair question: Is it okay to go swimming, shampoo %26amp; dry, then chemically relax the next day?

NO! You should not wash your hair prior to perming it. This can lead to serious scalp burn. Definately do not swim and then relax. Stay out of the pool, get you hair relaxed, and then go swimming. Wear a cap as the chlorine is not a good combo with perm chemicals.

African-American hair question: Is it okay to go swimming, shampoo %26amp; dry, then chemically relax the next day?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! If you do, your hair will fall out. Either wait three weeks to get a relaxer and go swimming or get the relaxer and look cute by the pool. Also you can not wash your have before you get a relaxer. Please listen or you will be crying later...my cousin did this when she was younger and her hair has not grew back the same.

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

I have always flat ironed my hair (now with a CHI) by blowdrying it first.

this morning my blow dryer quit working so I did it while it was wet and it worked pretty good.

Also two people i know say they do it when it's wet.

Will doing it while it's wet damage my hair?

Am I wasting my time blowdrying it all this time?

or

Do I just need to go buy a new blowdryer?

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

I asked my hair care professional that same question and she told me to put some sort of product in my hair to protect it, whether it be leave in conditioner, mousse, or something as the heat from the blowdryer can harm your hair....then flat iron..but always use a product to help prevent damage...and you should always dry your hair first before flat-ironing.

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

you dont even need a blowdryer. its okay to iron but better use fan when drying then iron. although i dont use both since it really damage my hair. i only use blowdryer and iron when there's occassion. i seldom use brush when my hair is wet. using just hands and fan when drying is still the best

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

never ever flat iron your hair when its wet! it is extremely bad for it!!!!!!!!!!! go out and buy a new blowdryer so you can dry your hair before you flat iron it! look at this link!!

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

thats eally alot of damage even if its a wet n dry straightner buy a new blow dry

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

it depend on ypur flat iron if it small u gone see smoke lol

if mediem it works

if big it don't get hot

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

dont straighten while its wet. it will damage you hair andit will easily get fried. you should get a new blow dryer and no you wouldnt be wasting your time

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

I don't know....I have heard that you shouldn't flat iron your hair when its wet but maybe its ok

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

My little girl says she does hers while it's wet and thats how yer supposed to do it.....her friend said so!...lol

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

I don't think it's wise to do it wet all the time. I think what happens is that you end up BOILING your hair dry. Think of it. You have to heat it enough to dry it and the only way to do that is to evaporate the water with extreme heat. A blow dryer doesn't reach 400 degrees to dry your hair.

Furthermore, you really should use the hair balms which protect hair from severe damage while you dry and iron it.

I like putting a dab of pure silk on it afterwards too which really gives it a stunning shine and soft feel.

You don't want to end up with straight but fuzzy hair. You want it to look shiney and healthy. When you look at a shaft and it's all warped despite being straight you know you've done damage.

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

Blow dry it and then flat iron it. You know how curly mine is and I've had mine flat-ironed just like the rest... but she used a roller brush to get it straight because if you just plain blow dry mine, it will be all frizzy and not work as well. Doing it while it's wet probably will take longer.

Do you flat iron your hair while its dry or wet?

Some flat irons are for wet or dry hair, unless its specifically for that I would suggest blow drying first, as it can cause a lot of damage to your hair! Did it smoke while flat ironing it while it was wet? Seems like it would....

Good Luck

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Apply olive oil to your whole head and leave it on for awhile and then wash it out and let it air dry.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Brush it frequently! That old 50 strokes trick really does work.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

just clean them everyday with fresh water!!

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

rug lotion into your hands until it's almost rubbed in then run your fingers through your hair.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

brush it often and put yogurt in it. trust me. it makes it softer and moisturizes it. i've done it before. just be sure to wash it out after that.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Brush or comb olive oil through your hair and wrap it in a warm towel for 20-30 minutes. Wash using shampoo a couple of times and follow with conditioner. Mayonnaise also works like this.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Mayonaise. After shampooing, apply mayonaise on your hair as a conditioner, rinse lightly. Towel dry and leave in overnight. Shampoo in the morning. I promise you, your hair will be so soft and silky and on a very small budget.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

simply use plenty of conditioner with vitsmin extracts and aloa vera

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

you can do a deep conditioning right at home. It sounds grose but it works great. take about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of real mayonaise and smear it threw your hair. Take a hot bath or shower and wash out with your usaual hair products.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Try virgin olive oil, wrap hair in bag and sleep in it, wash in morn. You can also try sleeping in a real good conditioner. If u can save up money, try Redken all soft, heavy conditioning cream. Stay away from colorings and perms until hair improves, and try to lessen your use of blow dryer and curling iron

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Just change your shampoo to a hydrating variety. These are very cheap. Otherwise try putting some serum into it to give it more moisture. But then dont use too much because then you will end up with greay hair and thats just as bad! Good luck

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

have you got some mayo? put it in your hair for 30 min.rinse it all out and shampoo and condition.you won't believe how soft and shiny your hair will be.

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Ok, the last thing you want to do when you already have dry hair is wash it "every day". What happens is, you have natural oils to your hair. These oils can dry up due to several environmental or personal care reasons. Get a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. White Rain has good cheap products out there. You can get it at any Walmart. Then wash your hair every other day instead. Let the oils build back up in your hair a little.

Another idea is get some VO5 (If you can) and at least do one hot oil treatment...

Believe it or not, Mayo works in a pinch...

You may need to take things one day at a time on this. It won't get fixed in just a couple days. Try not to blow dry your hair too much. If you do use a blow dryer, use a diffuser. It spreads the heat instead of just on one spot.

Good luck.....

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

1.brush your hair at day and night

2. use conditioner and shapmpoo when u take a shower

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

Clean shave

What would u do when your hair is dry?bt u dnt hav enough money to spend?

go to the dollar store, they have some really good products

My hair ends are so dry and dead, how do i make them better?

Ive gotten several trims, I condition like crazy. Ive tried even not washing so my natural oils will condition it. I was told water dosnt help either. But im sick of making my hair shorter n shorter trying to fix it but yet it still comes back.Am I doing something wrong, how do i fix this????

My hair ends are so dry and dead, how do i make them better?

First you should have asked in a different category. However, you sound like you have a vitamin deficiency. Take some and some Omega-3 Fatty Acids/Oils. Go to the health food store.

My hair ends are so dry and dead, how do i make them better?

Use a detangler so it won't break as much in grooming and avoid blow dryers and curling irons.

My hair ends are so dry and dead, how do i make them better?

keep your ends trimmed. Use Aussie Tip Mender Shampoo and Conditioner. It works really well to help with the dry damaged ends.

My hair ends are so dry and dead, how do i make them better?

My sister had the same problem. Mom tried all kinds of different shampoos and conditioners. Creamy (not gel) shampoos work best and then they found Mayo. It sounds gross but it really made a huge difference. Real mayo, saturate your hair with it, leave it for 30 minutes and wash it out. (wash it thoroughly or will leave your hair oily). It has egg, vinegar which are good for your hair, oil which helps condition it. don't use miracle whip, it has to be real mayo.

Yes, while its on, it stinks. never never answer the door while your doing this... they will think your crazy! but, seriously it works. It will condition your scalp as well. After you have trimmed the dead ends off, start a once a week regimen of mayo and I promise you, your hair will glow, be healthier and even grow faster! Good luck

Help for dry, brittle, colored hair?

ok so lately my hair has been through ALOT. lets just say that I cant really make up my mind about how I want it, but thats not the problem. see, over the past month, yes month, my hair has been bleached twice, and just last night, I decided to go back to my natural dark color. I like it better this way, so it will be staying this color for A WHILE. My hair is very thick, and a little past my shoulders in length. I know that my hair is damged from all of the color and bleach. Its naturally curly, but now its more frizzy than anything. Im not really sure exactly how to go about making up for all of the damage. It also lacks the shine that it used to have. Is there any way that I can get this back? my hair feels so un healthy. Thanks in advance you guys, and sorry for such a long description. lol :)

Help for dry, brittle, colored hair?

The best shampoo/conditioner for damaged hair is Extreme by Redken. Another good product is All Soft by Redken. But do not use All Soft if your hair is thin or if you want curl - it will be too heavy for your hair. You can buy a shine spray (Biolage has a good one) to spray on your hair after it's dry %26amp; styled to give it a healthier look, just go light on it or your hair will look greasy.

How do you stop dry hair without having to apply stuff to your hair everyday?

You can use COCONUT OIL once a week, it has heaps of Anti oxidants and moisturisers the roots, scalp %26amp; hair. It has been used for many years as a natural alternative. Before washing your hair apply some coconut oil from a health food store %26amp;leave it on. If you are not too shy, wrap your hair in cling wrap to keep the warmth in, hence activating the product even more. Leave on for 15 minutes %26amp; give your hair a good shampoo %26amp; conditioner.Try using less product, that's if you do use it, %26amp; taking fish oil capsules helps with the omega fatty acids, not just for hair, but for your skin as well. IT ALL WORKS,including the fish oil capsules, oh by the way , you can't taste any fish oil eighter, just make sure you take upto 1-3 capsules a day, ususally 1 is sufficient %26amp; don't chew them. The best fish oil, is the Blackmores Brand from any pharmacy/supermarket or health store.

How do you stop dry hair without having to apply stuff to your hair everyday?

My hair stylist told me the best thing to do for dry hair is to use a salon-quality shampoo and conditioner. They are a bit pricey, but they really do work - and you wouldn't have to buy any more olive oil. A lot of drugstores carry salon quality hair products or you could try Sephora.

I also like to get a deep conditioning treatment at the salon every now and then - they put stuff in your hair and then leave you under a hot fan. When you come out, your hair is smooth and silky.

Why is black people hair so dry?

why is their hair so nappy

Why is black people hair so dry?

Genetics, it is all under the control of the genes.

Without the Revlon's, Clairol's and the other modern hair and skin care products and routines most folk would fall into the same category.

Why is black people hair so dry?

I guess the same reason white people get wrinkles and blacks don't.

Why is black people hair so dry?

its curly (thats what naps are tight curls) and the hair that is produced through the scalp cant make it to the roots or the hair shaft like someone with oily hair (which is usually those with straight hair). the less curlier it is the more oil the hair strand itself recieves. thats why we cant wash out hair everyday because its not oily as are those with straight hair. it would take us 1-2 weeks for our heads to get oily and thats when we wash it. hope that helps

Why is black people hair so dry?

not all african americans people have nappy hair and not all african americans have dry hair..if it is dry and nappy then it's becuse their not making an effort to do their hair..next time think b4 you post sumthing as dumb as this....and how will any answer benifit you.. plus your very ignorant look how you wrote the question. you should check your grammer!!

Why is black people hair so dry?

thats not true at all im black %26amp; i have a nice grade of hair some black people has coarse hair while others dont. actually there hair isnt dry at all if anything black use more chemicals in there hair to prevent it from getting dry. it depends on the hair grade not the race cause ive seen some nappy heads in other races to

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

I've been dying my hair for the past year, every 3 months. I stopped dying my hair about a month ago. I go and get deep conditionings, I use shampoo and a LOT of conitioner and leave it in for 3 minutes. I also get regular trims. So..any advice? Do you recommend anything?

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

Shampoo every other day and condition only everyday. Shampoo using either Herbal Essences, Pantene, or Garnier Fructis.

Stop dying your hair. Avoid straightening your hair as much as possible. At most, straighten or blow dry your hair once a week.

You don't have to use a lot of conditioner. It should be about the size of a.......I don't know. But it should be smaller than the amount of shampoo you use.

You don't have to get deep conditioning professionally. You can treat your hair to a leave in conditioner twice a week. I recommend the one from Garnier Fructis, $4.

Try these moisturizing home made recipes:

To prepare a realy quick hair conditoner try this:

1 egg + 1 tsp vinegar + Glycerin

OR

1 egg + Honey + 2 tsp olive oil.

Massage this mixture all over and leave for 15 - 20 mins and then wash off with shampoo.

Soft hair: Warm up olive oil in the microwave and put it on dry hair, making sure you distribute it evenly. Wrap in a towel for a half hour, then wash your hair.

Hair rinse: Dilute 1 cup of apple cider vinegar in a quart of warm water. After you shampoo, rinse your hair with that; it makes it very shiny.

A very very cheap recipe? Rinse your hair in cold water. It's free and it makes your hair shiny.

Ingredients:

1/2 (120 ml) cup hair conditioner

1/4 (60 ml) cup honey

1 (15 ml) tablespoon almond oil

Directions:

Mix together the ingredients and blend well. Pour the mixture over your damp hair and work it in. Leave it on for about 20 minutes for a good, deep conditioning. Rinse it out.

Frizzines comes from damage to your hair so do a lot of deep conditioning. heres another homeade recipe.

Avocado Deep Conditioner

Ingredients:

1 small jar of mayonnaise

1/2 avocado

Directions :

Peel avocado and remove pit. Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl with your hands until it's a consistent green color. Smooth into hair being careful to work it to the ends. Use shower cap or plastic wrap to seal body heat in. Leave on hair for 20 minutes. For deeper conditioning wrap a hot, damp towel around your head over the plastic, or use a hair dryer set to a low to medium heat setting.

Shiny Soft Hair Treatment

In a small bowl, mash and combine: 1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)

1 egg yolk

1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual. Amazingly silky, shiny, soft hair! http://www.care2.com/greenliving/avocado...

Banana Bread Head

Have a couple of bananas that have ripened beyond their prime? Don't throw them away! Treat your hair to this vitamin-rich conditioning pack by blending a banana with a tablespoon or two of honey, plus a few drops of almond or vanilla extract for extra shine and a yummy fragrance that will remind you of mom's fresh-baked banana bread.

Ingredients:

* 1-2 ripe bananas

* 1-2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Mix together banana, and honey in a blender. Wet hair with warm water and apply. For extra penetration, use plastic shower cap or wrap your hair with a towel. Wait about 20 minutes - perfect time to try the banana mask below - then rinse thoroughly, following with shampoo and conditioner as usual.

Mashed banana functions as a mucilage, much like aloe vera gel, protecting hair from environmental damage and smoothing frizzy flyaway hair. By bringing moisture to the surface of your scalp, this pack also serves as an excellent treatment for a dry, flaky scalp.

Caribbean Conditioner

Avocados are just one of the fruits grown in abundance on the West Indies islands near South America. Islanders enjoy them for their rich velvety texture and buttery taste, which compliments spicy West Indies cuisine. Avocados' monosaturated fat is good for the heart when consumed but the protective properties of this fruit's fat are also good for the hair when applied in an inexpensive, easy-to-prepare conditioning treatment.

Ingredients:

* 1 ripe avocado, mashed

* 2 tablespoons yogurt

* 1 small lime

Directions:

Grate 1-2 tablespoons of zest from the outer skin of the lime; reserve. Mash the pulp of one very ripe avocado together with 2 tablespoons of yogurt and add lime zest . Massage mixture thoroughly into your hair and scalp. It's best if your hair is already wet and warm from the shower to aid absorption of the conditioning oils. Wrap hair with a plastic shower cap or wet towel, let penetrate for 20 minutes. Shampoo and lightly condition.

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

once a week put mayonnaise all over your hair and wrap it in saran wrap for like an hour rinse in warm to cool NOT HOT water, addind avacados helps too

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

Wash less often, watch the products you use make sure they are not alcohol based. I have found that I have good luck with the dyed hair shampoo and conditioner. I use a couple of Great clips products to make it lay down too, along with a flat iron.

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

Olive oil masks for your hair. Warm some olive oil in the microwave for a few seconds so it's just warm and not hot. Rub it all over your hair and then wrap in a warm towel for about 30 minutes before rinsing out. My mom used to do this for her dry coarse hair every couple of weeks for extra conditioning.

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

Go to a beauty supply store and buy a protein conditioner. It is very healthy for your hair follicles and restores natural moisture. You could also try a a LEAVE in conditioner.

OR ..... Soak your head in olive oil. It is all natural and will wash out.

Try washing your hair only once or twice a week and pin your hair up at night so that the ends of your hair is close to your scalp. That way the natural oils of your scalp will moisturize and distribute through your roots.

IF all else fails, use mayonaise. its very healthy and moisturizing for your hair also.

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

I had the same problem when i first got highlights. Well i used Sebastian Intensive Treatment its in a little pack it costs like $2. I did that every week for a month. It works great for restoring it. Every day i use Biosilk oil called Silk Therapy it makes my hair shiny and not oily nor dry just perfect. I use that every day after i take shower and it will give it its healthy shine again. Never use hot nor cold water use it just in between because you don't want to cause dandruff or over drying or even oily hair.

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

You may just be using the wrong products. Use a deep conditioner a few times a week that is for damaged hair. I really like Redken Butter Treat, which is a deep conditioner that you can use 3-4 times a week. Also, for every day, you may want to get a new shampoo and conditioner (Redken has a few shampoos and conditioners that are really good for damaged hair: All Soft, Smooth Down, or Extreme). You mentioned you have to shower daily, but does that necessarily mean you need to wash your hair daily, too? If possible, avoid washing your hair every day. If you have to, you can at least rinse it really good (without shampooing) then condition it...which is less damaging, but wont leave you feeling dirty.

If you use any type of heat styling, be sure that you use a heat protectant, like Nexxus Heat Protexx or Redken Heat Glide. Heat styling causes a LOT of damage, especially to hair that is already damaged.

Continue with the regular trims, which should prevent further damage, but if you can, maybe take off a little more than you would when you trim. All of the conditioners and protectants will make your hair texture feel better and healthier, but you can't really do a lot to actually fix the damage from color, so the main goal is to just keep your hair manageable and hold on decently to the healthiness it still has while you work to get rid of the colored, damaged parts.

Hopefully this will help some, and good luck!

My hair is SO dry no matter what profuct I use!?

Coconut oil.

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

Use a moisturizing conditioner like Pantene Restoratives.

You can try also using VO5 Hot Oil...that works pretty well. I also recommend Infusium 23 leave in treatment. I've recently started using it and I can already see a difference.

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

You need proper hair care read some hair tips and articles on this site to help you with it

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

Shave your head, let it grow back and stop coloring.

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

Put mayonaise in your hair, leave on for awhile before washing. Can be messy, wrap hair in a towel or something. It really works

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

I think it depends on the hair type, but in general a simple hot oil treatment coupled with regular conditioning can help. For greater dryness or damage,I recommend having all dead ends trimmed, get a thick colesterol conditioner (look in the ethnic hair section), leave the conditioner on your head as you wrap your hair in a hot wet towel. After 20 minutes rinse the hair. Do this once a week. if your hair is really really dry, add several drops of jojoba oil to your shampoo and conditioner.

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

The mayonnaise trick really works. I've dyed my hair for so long I don't even remember what my natural color is....lol.....and my granny told me to use Hellmann's (or whatever) years ago. I get comments all the time from my hair stylist on how soft and shiny my hair is even though I sometimes use some pretty harsh color treatments.

Whats a good treatment for dry hair due to coloring?

Matrix Bioloage conditioning balm for color treated hair. Use this daily. Shampoo only three times a week. Do not blow dry more then necessary. Use a deep conditioning treatment weekly. If you're going to color your hair go to a specialist and don't lighten it more then two shades.

Nexxus 'Botanoil'. Check out www.nexxus.com. It's a shampoo for coloured and chemically treated hair. You can also use it for just plain dry hair like I do. I swear by Nexxus. Also check out www.phyto.com and www.renefurterer.com. I have one in a million type hair. It also costs about a million to keep care of it and it's very difficult to manage. What I've suggested are the best product lines that I've found.

How do i get rid of dry hair with out cuttin it.?

Deep condition once a week. Also use leave in conditioners.

How do i get rid of dry hair with out cuttin it.?

Use shampoos and conditioners that lock in moisture. Usually they say "Lock in moisture" or "keep hair moist" on the bottle, so just look for shampoos and conditioners that say that.

How do i get rid of dry hair with out cuttin it.?

you should use Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo by Herbal Essences. It works soooo well!

How do i get rid of dry hair with out cuttin it.?

You can't get rid of it without cutting it but you can help by using a deep conditioner once a week. Try Nioxin's Structure and Strength.

Or Redken has a good one too. I can't remember what it's called though but it comes in a blue bottle.

Umm, I use Bed Head Split End Minder, it's in a pink bottle withah green top. It helps mind the split ends on your hair and leaves it softer and silkier.

How do i get rid of dry hair with out cuttin it.?

Do not use Herbal Essence. It dries out curly hair because of an ingredient in it that I learned from Curlygirl.

Use Garnier Fructis. Maybe a leave in conditioner. I have the same problem too. If you need more help, here's a site for curly girls like us. ;)

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

I have to wash my hair twice a day, one in the evening, and one in the moring becuase when I wake up, my hair is soaked in oil and during the day, I feel like oil is dripping from my scalp. If I don't do that, my hair gets so oily, people ask me if I just washed my hair! But my ends are so dry it just flies everywhere. I need help. I hate smelling my oily hair everyday and feel like a big lard.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

Most professional lines make a shampoo for oily hair. You should talk to your hairstylist to find one that's perfect for your hair texture. Wash everyday if you need to but with a good shampoo you could go 2 days which is better for the dry ends. As far as that goes, get a trim. A really good product for you ends would be a silk product. Biosilk and CHI both have really good serums you can put on the ends. THey both penatrate the hair shaft and will get your hair back to normal. I wouldn't recommend anything in a spray bottle because you will be spraying the root area too. You need to get trims regularly (6-8 weeks) to help with the dry ends. Hope this helps. You are welcome to e-mail me and tell me a little about your hair and I would be happy to help you find the right shampoo and conditioner.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

i had oily hair and i started to use V05 and it got rid of my oil problem.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

First - get a nice trim to get rid of some of the dead ends. Then go to a beauty supply store and ask them to help you find a really cleansing shampoo. Shampoo thouroughly then condition only on the ends.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

Your washing your hair wrong. Make sure to use a normal hair to oily shampoo to control your natural sebum. Then get out of the shower and put a pea to quarter size drop of conditioner in your hand. Rub your hands together and work the conditioner through the ENDS of your hair. This should work. For extra scalp drying use the blow dryer on your roots.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

i have the same type of problem, trying using the shampoo and conditioner that is right for your hair type. also try not to wash you hair so much. trying conditioning every other and shampooing everyday.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

You are probably so oily BECAUSE you wash your hair so much. Shampoo drys the natural moisture of your scalp. Try and wash only once a day (every other day is better) and use a dry shampoo to soak up excess oil. Bumble and Bumble has some for people with dark hair. Don't condition your scalp either. Condition just the ends.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

I have a few option for you.

Try not to run your hands through your hair as this transfers dirt and oil from your hands to your hair.

When you are in the shower, just shampoo your hair and towel dry and apply a spray leave in conditioner but only to the ends of your hair, this way you can probably determine if the oil is being produced from too much conidtioner or from your body.

Visit your hairdresser and get them to assess your hair type so that you can use the correct shampoo, conditioner and styling products.

There are spray in shampoos available which you leave in for 2 minutes and brush out and it is instantly degreased as it is a powder spray. I have used it and found it to be quite good.

Otherwise if all else fails you should see either your doctor or a dermatolagist/skin specialist to seek further information or get samples/tests done to determine what is causing the excessive oil.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

Yiou need some sort of combination shampoo for a oily to dry. I wold recomend the store Brand garnier fructis Shampoo and conditioner or the profesional line of Biolage would work really well.

Super oily on top, super dry at the end... my hair needs help!?

So continue washing it twice a day, but don't condition the roots/scalp, just the ends.

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine

Its night time now and I don't have a hood dryer.I do have a blow dryer. My only hair products right now are fantasia ic hair, and scalp leave in treatment, lusters pink oil moisturizer, and regular hair pomade.I also have a flat iron.

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine?

brush your hair in a circle around your head start at the ear brushing toward your face pining the hair as you go till you get where you started. You can either wrap your hair with with a scarf and sleep on it or dry on a low setting..when you take the pins out it should be streight and shinny an old trick for curly hair.

its better for your hair than using a flat iron.

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine?

just leave it alone

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine?

dry it with a towel, and in a few minutes, use the flat iron, it will dry, and look shiny while it is straight and soft....

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine?

don't wash your hair at nite. do it during the day

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine?

lightly blow dry it...when mostly dry, brush the hair in a circular motion around the head, placing clips on little snips that may fall off-- massage a light oil into the roots, and wrap tightly...should stay shiny for a few weeks.

Please help!! Just washed my hair-how to dry it and wrap it so that it remains soft and keep a shine?

I assume that you have african american hair, so I'm not sure how well it will work for you because I'm white, but I've found that my hair is softest and shiniest if I wash it at night, and go to bed with it off to the side, like a side ponytail (with no hairband). I just sleep on it like that, and in the morning, it's great. I know that sounds ridiculous, but my hair gets course alot and frizzy, and I swear by this to make it smooth, soft and shiny.

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

since i have short hair and its getting worse because of dandruff, plz help me with ur good and useful suggestion

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

You may have a SLS ( Sodium Laurel/lauryth Sulfate) allergy. Most shampoos contain this ingredient. It strips hair of its natural oils and causes dry itchy scalp in those who are allergic to it.Try a shampoo that is free of this ingredient. I have and it has worked wonders for me. Shampoos that are SLS free and contain the added ingredient of Tea Tree Oil are supposedly good for the scalp too.vitacost.com carries a good selection of all natural shampoos and conditioners at a really good price. Sure hope this helps.

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

Try any cream based shampoo like DOVE. camphor mixed with any warm coconut oil applied overnite before shampooing would do wonders to ur hairsuffering with dandruff,.U may mix glycerine with ur conditioner and apply to ur hair , not to the roots. Leave for 20 minutes and then wash. Try this for next 15 washes and feel the silkiness in ur hair.

These suggestions are completely out of experience as I had similar problem.

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

selsun blue is the best shampoo to use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i also have trouble with that, and this is what i use. plus it works!!!!!!!!!

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

I would suggest first you talk to the chemist or druggist as known in some places. There are some good products on the market for dandruff.

You might take the time to see your doctor and make sure you do not have a skin disease. Also there are some products that are very good by prescription only in many nations.

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

you just need a moist shampoo and conditioner. you have dry scalp not dandruff. Common mistake. Shampoo your hair 2 time then towel dry get a deep conditioner put it thru out your hair and scalp leave on 15 min then rinse. this should help!

Which shampoo will be good for hair which is dry, hard and have dandruff?

Dove Shampoo is working wonders!Try and smile!

Has anyone used the new hair dryer that straightens your hair as you dry it?

I have kind of short curly hair and am looking for someway to keep it under control during the summer / humid weather. It's cut in layers and flat irons just kind of make it stick out in weird directions. Would this new dryer possibly work?

Has anyone used the new hair dryer that straightens your hair as you dry it?

All you really need is a hair dryer with a comb. a lot of hair dryers come with combs, that attach to it, as you comb and dry, your hair straightens. My hair is curly too, and the dryer i use works. just attach the comb and you will be able to comb and dry all at the same time, without worrying about having curls in when you are done.

Please dont spend your money on a "new" hair dryer that straightens your hair. i will be a waste, just get a dryer that comes with the attachable comb. Never fails

Has anyone used the new hair dryer that straightens your hair as you dry it?

I have no idea but I hope someone will reply and let you know!! If they work I am going to get one for myself!!!

Good luck!!

Has anyone used the new hair dryer that straightens your hair as you dry it?

um...they had that for so long now....

Has anyone used the new hair dryer that straightens your hair as you dry it?

I have wavey hair and the person that said don't waste money is right, in summer no matter what i do or use, boom waves in 3 secs. flat, well actually not flat, dryer with good comb attachment is best bet.

Has anyone used the new hair dryer that straightens your hair as you dry it?

yes i think so is it conair?? well dont waste your money u can have mines for free-- i spent lots of money on it and it just pulls your hair out and damages it!

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized e

i have medium length hair, a little past the shoulder, i use garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner, but I never get the hair I want! I'm trying to get my hair to be smoother, silkier without getting my scalp dry! The only time I get my hair to be slightly the way I like it is the next day, when it needs wash again, becuase my scalp gets a little oily and I can't stand oily hair! Should I try a different conditioner or is there something else I can do or use?

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

Go to www.burtsbees.com and order the Avacado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment, and the Super Shiny Grapefruit and Sugar Beet Shampoo and the matching Conditioner. It works wonders, and the prices are reasonable. Their products are all natural, so you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals that can make your hair weak and dull.

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

You can try a moistourized conditioner that doesnt make hair oily plus it maxes up volume and it really works. Fructis is a good conditioner.

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

A black girl friend of mine told me to use there hair stuff and I did and it was great! I believe it was called cholesterol? I put it in my hair and put a shower cap on for 20 min. It can get greasy if you use to much so watch that too.

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

I had the same prob and now use biolage and redkin, e but u have to mix it up

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

What I would try is a deep hair treatement which you can easily do yourself. Here are two easy and relitevely effective hair treatments which I use regularly.

1. This one is a bit messy so its good for the weekend. Mash an avacoado with mayonese and olive oil until it is a smooth paste then get your hair wet. Coat your hair and scalp with this paste, making sure it is worked in and then cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it to sit for 15 minutes. To intensify it, you can put a towel in the dryer until it is warm and then wrap it around your head. Shampoo and condition your hair like normal but make sure you get it all out because there is nothing worse then bits of avocado in your hair.

2. This alternative is considerably cleaner! Wet your hair as usual but then rub into it olive oil with a few drops of an esential oil of your choice (you can buy these at your local health food store) and cover with a shower cap. You can use a warm towel for this too. When my hair gets dry during the week and I dont have time to do a full blown treatment I just take this olive/esential oil mix and rub it into my hair before bed and cover my pillow with a towel.

Good luck and I hope these work for you!

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

with what you have right now try this:

wet hair thoroughly

dollop of shampoo in palm and rub hands together

dab hands from the midlength to scalp to ends

massage scalp and finger comb hair (do not rub hair together as this will cause split ends)

rinse WELL

TOWEL DRY this step is very important ( if your hair is really wet with water the conditioner can't work the way it's meant to)

conditioner in palm of hand and rub hands together

dab from midlength to scalp to ends

finger comb thru

rinse under tap with cool water

shampoo every other to every 3 days.

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

your hair feels that way because when you shampoo you're washing 'everything' out of your hair. a persons hair naturally acts the way they want it to when it's slightly dirty.

How come every time after I wash my hair it feels clean, but too empty and dry and not moisturized enough??

hey i know im not answering ur question. im the 1 who u jus answered about my best friend. PLZZ EMAIL OR IM. EMAIL:SOCCER_CHICK_1530@YAHOO.COM, YAHOO IM:SOCCER_CHICK_1530. AIM:FLORIDAGURL3030.

Can I perm my hair ? My hair is too dry. Any suggestion........?

I had my fourth rebonding my hair this May. My hair length is 3 inches below the shoulder. Is good to have perm ? I mean digital or Japanes ....... please suggest me ...

Can I perm my hair ? My hair is too dry. Any suggestion........?

your hair is to try, treat your hair with a moisturizer first or an oil treatment, you can even do a home treatment use mayo, or olive oil, put it on your hair and leave it on for several mins then rinse. You probably need to do it more then once a week for several weeks, your hair sounds like its pretty damaged. If you perm your hair while it is dry it will be to brittle and split at the ends.

Can I perm my hair ? My hair is too dry. Any suggestion........?

if u have dry hair then perm will not help it. it will only make the hair more drier. and if u have already done rebounding 4 times then ur hair is pretty much damaged. i mean thats a lot of chemicals.

I need to fix my curly frizzy dry split poofy horrid hair. help.?

Ok, so I do not ever have time to straighten my hair with a blowdryer or use an iron and stuff like that. Is there any shampoo stuff that won't damage my hair or anything that will reduce the curl and make it more wavy? Because right now I basically have an afro and it's annoying and weird looking. So I really want to get my hair more straight and then cut it shorter so it looks good. Anything I can use?

I need to fix my curly frizzy dry split poofy horrid hair. help.?

There are shampoos that are for "smoothing" hair. Try using that along with frizz ease on your ends after you've dried your hair. Use a diffuser when you blow dry your hair with a wide tooth comb or pick. When you are drying it aim the hair dryer down the hair shaft from the top of your head. It'll help prevent frizzies. And have it set to medium heat. Don't brush your hair. That'll make it frizz out too.

I need to fix my curly frizzy dry split poofy horrid hair. help.?

Have you ever heard of permanant hair straightening? if you didnt want to go completely straight then im sure they have a method for leaving it slighlty wavey. Talk to a hairdresser, that can look at your hair, about your options

I need to fix my curly frizzy dry split poofy horrid hair. help.?

If wearing it curly use John Fridas frizz ease Downplay Volume reducer.

If I wash my ethnic hair, will I dry it out?

I'm black but I want my hair to be healthy and clean, I don't use chemical treatments for straigtning....I do use hair gel though, so therefore I need to wash my hair daily...what do you suggest

If I wash my ethnic hair, will I dry it out?

Dilute white vinegar with water, and rinse your hair......it'll remove all impurities.

Gel is bad for your hair, use shea butter to keep it shiny, moist, and manageable.

If I wash my ethnic hair, will I dry it out?

go ahead and wash it.

If I wash my ethnic hair, will I dry it out?

I am a natural black woman too and in the summer I wash my hair daily. It may dry your hair out in the winter so make sure you are using moisturizing conditioner. Besides that, there's nothing wrong with it.

What foods should i eat if i'm pale and my hair is dry?

Fish for protein/oils

Meat, eggs, beans, fish for iron if you are anemic

What foods should i eat if i'm pale and my hair is dry?

A generous oil application and massage is recommended before washing the hair. Frequent shampooing is harmful for dry hair. Sometimes lack of nutrients can also cause dry brittle hair. Take a multivitamin and mineral supplement on a daily basis. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I use a very good conditioner and do a hot oil treatment every two weeks. Then get a good spray in conditioner to use when you get out of the shower (when your hair is still wet). Then I like to use a smoothing serum after brushing the wet hair. Dry and style then use the serum again to smooth down frizz.

My hair is so dry?

it is really dry anyone know of a good product that will help it

My hair is so dry?

a good contioner. but try some tips from here

My hair is so dry?

PANTENE, OR GARNEIR FRUCTESE

My hair is so dry?

i really like the infusium deep conditioner. it smells nice and seems to calm my hair pretty well and it's not expensive. also try not shampooing your hair everyday, and just put in conditioner in the shower. that helped me too.

My hair is so dry?

yougart+honey leave it on ur hair for 15 min

My hair is so dry?

Redken All Soft Shampoo/Conditioner and Silk Fuel!!!

www.redken.com has a salon finder and an interactive proct guide.

My hair is so dry?

Try deep conditioners by Nexxus-they cost more but work well, also any deep conditioner-just leave it in for 10 minutes. Then wash it out, and put in a leave in conditioner, and put sylicone drops by Paul Mitchell on your ends to keep it down and frizz free.

My hair is so dry?

My hair is the same way. I use Pantene Restoratives for dry or damaged hair. It is absolutely amazing! Try it you will be amazed.

It cost about $4.99 a bottle but it lasts for about a month. So you are spending about $10.00 for the entire month.

My hair is so dry?

I like GARNEIR FRUCTESE or Biolage

You can also try a deep conditioner. You can find them pretty much anywhere shampoo is sold.

My hair is so dry?

Hair care that includes special oils always does the trick.

Tea tree oil is great when washing and conditioning.

Avacado is good on occasional conditioning.

Olive oil products are great for conditioning and for use after wards.

Paul Mitchell's tea tree is the best because the excess products won't weigh your hair down. Red Ken's aquafy also helps. Neutrogena makes triple oil complex products. Frederik Fakkai has an olive oil glossing gream.

My hair is so dry?

Biolage Ultra-hydrating conditioner is the best!

i promise-it lasts for a long time and it makes your hair feel so soft!

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair

try and put some leave in conditioner.

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair silky?

garnier fructis is what i use ...hope it helps....

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair silky?

get your hair trimmed to get rid of the split ends, then apply some conditioner when in the shower to add moisture. If you want, try to apply a hair mask once a week. When you get out of the shower try applying some smoothing cream or something to hold off the frizzies. WHen you go out in the sun, try to apply a hairspray with SPF to protect your hair from UV rays.

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair silky?

Personally I use John Frida Collection Frizz-Ease Shampoo and Conditioner and it works pretty good. I like it a lot and I think it would work well for the hair you described. :) Hope I helped a little!

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair silky?

get a trim %26amp; use aussie cleanse %26amp; mend shampoo %26amp; sun touched shine conditioner!!!

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair silky?

for the dryness you should use a good conditioner, and some leave in conditioner for afterwards ...for the frizzyness let your hair airdry and try some garnier or define prodicts.....trim your hair ends

I have dry, frizzy hair with split ends. i live in mumbai.is there any product that will make my hair silky?

First thing's first ...

Cut off about 1 inch (or at least up were the split-ends start). Give it a (hot)oil treatment once a week (leave in for about half a day, for the first 4 times used - after that you can wash it out after keeping it in your hair for about 30-60 minutes).

After shampooing use a conditioner (take a small amount and mix it with a small amount of olive oil and massage it through your hair, and leave for about 5-8 minutes before you wash it out). Also try treating yourself with a hairmask once a week ... I think that this should do the trick. GOOD LUCK!
