its curly (thats what naps are tight curls) and the hair that is produced through the scalp cant make it to the roots or the hair shaft like someone with oily hair (which is usually those with straight hair). the less curlier it is the more oil the hair strand itself recieves. thats why we cant wash out hair everyday because its not oily as are those with straight hair. it would take us 1-2 weeks for our heads to get oily and thats when we wash it. hope that helps

thats not true at all im black %26amp; i have a nice grade of hair some black people has coarse hair while others dont. actually there hair isnt dry at all if anything black use more chemicals in there hair to prevent it from getting dry. it depends on the hair grade not the race cause ive seen some nappy heads in other races to
