Please Help

O.k i always blow dry my hair then straighten it but it never goes fla t and i have a CHI!!! HELP!?

Do what I do. I have a Chi too...

Let your hair air dry and then use a serum or some type of protectant. Blowdry your hair to get it generally straight.. Once your done, section your hair into pieces and flatiron carefully. The key to flatironing is to start at the root, not below the root and slowly bump it out and down. This technique seals the hair making it less frizzy and frumpy. Youll get a smooth look. By sectioning it, youll get a better look because your are taking your time on your whole head. When your done, spray some oil sheen or whatever you use to tame ther frizzies at the crown of your hair. Works well for me!!

I odn't understand. But if you're saying you blow dry and then straighten, then it's going to turn out flat. Sorry.

i dont have a chi but i do have a pretty good straightener

dont dry your hair next time. let it air dry and then straighten it. make sure that all of your hair is dry before straightening it because straightening wet hair can cause split ends and frizz

Some peopl may tell you not to blow dry your hair because it will get frizzy and spilt ended, but I have a REALLY good technique for straightening your hair. Here's what I do whenever I want' need to straighten my hair:

1. Take a shower (in the morning) and ONLY put conditioner on your hair (just for the day when you straighten your hair)

2. When you get out of the shower, put a towel on your hair as if you were going to towel-dry your hair, and leave it on for at least 5-10 mins. (or get dressed with the towel on your hair, and when your done getting dressed, take off the towel)

3. When you take the towel off, brush your hair. (DON'T comb it...BRUSH it) Brush it until it until it your hair line is in the middle and it is parted evenly.

4. (for this step, you have to but something called "motions." You can find it at walmart, target, the mall, beauty shops, etc. On the bottle, it should say all this:

MOTIONS

at home

Hair Lotion

(and then in sideways writing it says:)

OIL MOISTURIZER

(and at the bottom it says:)

condtions, softens, and detangles hair.

Then, on the back it should have pictures and words next to the pictures. One of the pictures says:

Protects from heat damage and dry conditionins.

The bottle is pink, and the cap is purple, and the thing that says "motions' is in cursive and it's purple.

Anyways...you comb your hair back as if you were gonna put it in a pony tail (except you DON'T put a scrunchie on it) and then smooth the "motions" stuff ALL over your hair.

5. Blow dry your hair on high for about 1-2 and a half minutes, and then blow dry it on low (or medium) for about 1 minute, and it should still look a little wet.

6. After blow drying it, BRUSH your hair so it is seperated again, and let it dry a little by it's self for 5-7 minutes. (It should still look a little wet, but not dry, and not soaked.

7. Apply the "motions" on your hair AGAIN...the same exact way as last time.

8. Straighten your hair the way you want it

9. Put in a TINY bit more motions in your hair.

10. Brush or comb your hair one more time.

Your hair should look shiny, straight and REALLY good. Sometimes, if you put TOO much motions on, it looks almost wet for the whole entire day, but even if you do that, it still looks good and straight.

i hope this helps, and if it doesn't work, email me at Sweet_girl_3246@yahoo.com because it might be different for your hair. I have a conair straightener and I just usually put the temperature ALL the way up (so much up that smoke comes out of it) and my hair NEVER gets dry and NEVER ahs split ends. I don't know how a CHI works, but I'll look it up right now just in case you email me for help again.

C YA!!!!!!!!!!!
