it has been discovered that if you blow dry your hair while on your period you will bleed heavier and longer. The reason being that the hot air from the blow dryer heats the blood and makes it thinner resulting in major blood lose. So far no deaths have been reported.

But basically the heat from the dryer will not harm you any more than usual. (always condition your hair according to type)
