I'm black but I want my hair to be healthy and clean, I don't use chemical treatments for straigtning....I do use hair gel though, so therefore I need to wash my hair daily...what do you suggest

I use Tresseme' and my hair is great! Try the silk and protien one or the Gelatin kind. The Gelatin kind is better though. Try them!

I always use Pantene, but the expensive shampoos at the salon are really good too. If your hair is dry and poofy try using some hair serum (Redken, $15 for medium bottle). It works wonders!

AVEDA rosemary mint shampoo is great if your hair is thin. If it's a little thicker, I would go for Redken All Soft (and make sure you use the All Soft rinse out Heavy Creme, it's awesome!)

I use a very good conditioner and do a hot oil treatment every two weeks. Then get a good spray in conditioner to use when you get out of the shower (when your hair is still wet). Then I like to use a smoothing serum after brushing the wet hair. Dry and style then use the serum again to smooth down frizz.

I think its called Olive Oil Moisturizing Shampoo. Its exellent. I have natural black hair and this gives it plenty of moisture and tames the frizzz.

Also, try a moisturizing deep conditioner (the kind where you put a plastic bag on you head and blow dry it for 5 to 15 minutes), Olive Oil makes an excellent one.

Anything moisturizing. Shampoos for color treated hair are great. Also I love Garnier Fructis. Try using de-frizzing serums or leave in conditioners.

I have the same problem! I use REDKIN brand shampoo and Conditioner. It works wonders on my hair. Once a week, I put the conditioner in, put a plastic cap on, and sleep with it in. It keeps the flyaways away and keeps my hair very healthy. You can only get REDKIN brand products at the salon.

get your hair trimmed to get rid of the split ends, then apply some conditioner when in the shower to add moisture. If you want, try to apply a hair mask once a week. When you get out of the shower try applying some smoothing cream or something to hold off the frizzies. WHen you go out in the sun, try to apply a hairspray with SPF to protect your hair from UV rays.

for the dryness you should use a good conditioner, and some leave in conditioner for afterwards ...for the frizzyness let your hair airdry and try some garnier or define prodicts.....trim your hair ends

First thing's first ...

Cut off about 1 inch (or at least up were the split-ends start). Give it a (hot)oil treatment once a week (leave in for about half a day, for the first 4 times used - after that you can wash it out after keeping it in your hair for about 30-60 minutes).

After shampooing use a conditioner (take a small amount and mix it with a small amount of olive oil and massage it through your hair, and leave for about 5-8 minutes before you wash it out). Also try treating yourself with a hairmask once a week ... I think that this should do the trick. GOOD LUCK!
