my hair used to be really shiny and straight when i lived in germany , but now i live here in ny and its like always puffy !! and dry , its so disgusting , notging can make it look shiny !! what can i doo ??

Henna gives fantastic results. Try a non-colored one for an intense conditioning. It can actually change the way your hair acts. Seriously, try it! It's awesome! Keep in mind, though, that since it coats your hair, you can not use any type of commercial dy for about 5-6 weeks after using it.
If you dye your hair, try switching to a henna dye.
As far as long-term, take omega- 3 and 6 oils. Flax, Borage, and Evening primrose are great combined. It will take a month or two to show results, since it's a natural approach, but trust me. Your body will thank you.
Also, make sure you're using a high quality multivitamin every day.
Other than that, get lots of vegetables and TONS of water!
deep conditioning treatment:
1/4 cup olive oil or other veg. oil
1/4 cup honey
heat a little so the honey is pliable enough. mix a bit and apply to hair. Leave on for half an hour. Can wrap in foil and heat, for added benefits.
Shampoo well.
Great rinse:
Nalgene-sized bottle of warm water
1-4 tsp apple cider vinegar.
do not rinse after. smell fades quickly. Leaves hair shiny and smoothe :)

There are certain shampoos for hair like yours, that can make it straight and shiny. They have them in stores like Wal-Mart. Depending on the type you buy, they aren't expensive, and can really help. If you apply a lot of heat to your hair (blow drying, curling iron, etc.) cut that down a little bit too.

Go to your salon and pruchase a good quality leave in conditioner. Do not shampoo your hair everyday, you can rinse and put in the leave in conditioner each day. Blow dry with a defuser. Also get regular trims to make sure you don't have split ends.

Try herbal essences none of my frizzness. its in a red bottle. It calms your hair and makes it soft and shiny. i use it all the time. and if you like to style your hair they come with styling products 2. They also have other collections in herbal essences so depending on your hair type you can pick. i have very curly hair so i use totally twisted and it works great. Good luck!

Sounds to me, like it's the water. There is hard and soft water based on the minerals in the water. These can even differ from one town to the next believe it or not! Soft water is ideal.. Sounds like you have hard water. You can get a water softener installed, and I would recommend that you use a deep protein conditioner once a week to help manage your hair. A great one is Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Reconstructor.... but it is def. the water!!! Many salons including the one I work for, have water softeners installed. That's a salon trick to sleek hair....... good luck. hope this helps

Well, I'm sorry for your hair issues. Have you tried cutting it tips? Use moisture infusing shampoo to help with the dryness, and try cutting your hair often you'll be surprised what a difference it will make. Also try using an oil base shine for your hair it helps with the shine. Good Luck!!
